2014 Eagles Rest 'Shed Block' Shiraz
This wine comes from one of our oldest blocks on the vineyard - the Shed Block. These 50-year-old vines are planted on a gentle south facing slope close to the valley floor and benefit from a slightly cooler microclimate. The Shed Block is our latest ripening block, usually picked in late February or early March. A more feminine wine when compared to the Maluna Shiraz. Great depth of fruit, careful integration of oak and a fine grain tannin structure that will permit long term ageing.
