2013 Eagles Rest 'Estate' Chardonnay

Tasting Notes

A blend of the Dam, House and Flat blocks, this wine has a pale green gold colour. Intense green apple and lifted citrus fruit dominate a vibrant bouquet. The vineyard is the hero with powerful fruit and background complexity on the nose. Subtle flint and smoky roasted chestnuts add depth. The apple and citrus fruit characters carry onto the palate with and explosion of flavour. Acidity provides the counterpoint to the fruit and tames its intensity giving balance and length. This is a great drinking style Chardonnay and should age well over the medium term.
